Not to mention that quantum cryptography has found ways to prevent that already.
Not to mention that quantum cryptography has found ways to prevent that already.
I think that means the current quantum computers made using photonics, right? Those are really big though.
It would be hard to leave home everyday as a depressed person. Also, he has been to therapy and mental hospitals, meaning the whole family is trying something. He couldn’t take care of himself alone. I believe working from home is a good alternative.
That’s a really cool project with good use cases, but that is easily worth hundreds of dollars. Your post honestly seems like a freelancer job post.
The dangerous thing about Quantum Computing is that it can keep usable computers out of consumer reach, making it necessary to use the Internet for anything.
But seeing quantum physics applied to the real world with concrete results is also pretty cool.
I think the study of Ludwig Wittgenstein is all about language being at the center of intelligence, no? I think it even argues that there is no real intelligence without language.
Same as Brazil. The majority of political violence cases happen at municipal level.
Got it. So it’s something similar to latest security proposals like not letting me download files on Windows because they are not normally downloaded. Or visiting a website with self signed certificates. So it’s more secure.
The apps complain: “You need Google Play services to use this app”.
So it’s about security. Right. What kind of security does McDonaldss need? Does it need security for their coupons?
Besides that, I thought payment gateway provided very good security by themselves.
But let’s steer from what happens on mainstream apps a little.
Isn’t Google Wallet or Online payments insecure too? Don’t they have tons security failures also? Human security failures, like if someone robs my phone and my info they would have access to my money?
Google and the smartphone industry employ accelerometers and other methods to make sure robbers can’t get to the system. They admit themselves that the systems aren’t safe and they’re working on AI and electronic methods to avoid access to sensitive information.
Is this the security you’re talking about? Maybe we should just steer the industry another way, like those Custom OSs do. Alternatives aren’t security potential threats. They’re the solution for the problem.
Making a monopoly based on making it “safe” isn’t secure at all.
Try finding work from home in your environment, maybe some freelance work. Once you’re able and structured from your work, then you’ll feel more safe about caring about yourself and your life. You’re very young, it’s a young age for giving up on everything. Freelance clients are much more understanding than normal office jobs. Build up your confidence and your independence and you’ll get there.
The same electroshock therapy that was used to try to convert a trans person in China? I don’t think that’s a good idea.
I had Custom OSs installed before. My bank works fine, but there are apps that require Google Apps. I’d say that’s got pretty much to do with Google.
Well, Google is known for destroying its opposition.
Companies value liars who compete for the best readily made fake speech. Nothing new to see here.
This post almost make it sound like Facebook is a good place to keep in touch with people. The algorithm just wrecks the place, like with X.
The chinese understand that this is a matter of national security, as can be seen by the US limiting their access to high quality chips. This power over other nations production shouldn’t be there.
Not to mention the algorithms that lock your attention to the ad. YouTube does this a lot. I just watch all the commercial, because it knows well (through diffing and other techniques) what I will watch completely. I guess I’ll get used to it. I have also been clicking more on ads around the webpages, but I don’t think this is to my liking. The technology is just getting better. This is really bad, but it’s beyond salvation right now. I believe all we can do is mitigate the effects of ads on the Internet. I’m glad we have alternatives.
It doesn’t hurt to kill processes that will freeze the computer.
I imagine the creator envisioned something like a package wiki/docs mixed with direct access to the source code.
As long as that philosophy doesn’t reach FOSS philosophy, that’s fine. Imagine if Fediverse social media suddenly didn’t really want to “enshitify” their platforms, but included trackers and ads?
Seeing quantum computers work will be like seeing mathemagics at work, doing it all behind the scenes. Physically (for the small ones) it looks the same, but abstractly it can perform all kinds of deep mathematics.
