Hardly left the couch 🥱

The point of pretending to change the name of the department was so Petey could pretend to be a big tough warrior in front of all the army guys.
It’s theatrics and make-believe, because Republicans live in a fantasy of their own imagination

Fucking disgraceful

We are all blessed this day

He just wants his name on something, because Obamacare

Coffee and oatmeal, coffee and pancakes, coffee and eggs, coffee and cereal, coffee and scone, coffee and waffles, or coffee and breakfast burrito.
Sometimes I’ll get a cappuccino with oat milk because I’m lactose Intolerant.
“Look, all I’m saying is…”
Yeah I get it. You’re not going to acknowledge what I just finished saying, you’re not going to respond to the facts that contradict you, and you’re just going to reiterate your oversimplified and shitty opinion, hoping to slip away from this argument that you’re losing.

Cool. I’ll be sure and be way more specific and accurate when I make my next glib comment on the internet.

Hospital bills. I guess some of y’all have some kinda universal health care? Wild. Here, illnesses can lead to bankruptcy. Cool. Yeah.

Came here to say this. Media’s framing language matters. He made a comment about Trump. His show was suspended under pressure from the FCC not because he made irresponsible comments about Kirk, but because he made the pissy man-baby cry.

I’m with y’all not giving Disney a cent going forward, I unsubbed a long time ago, but fuck me this is gonna piss off Trump and that makes me giggle.

This movie surprised me. I saw the title on Shudder and passed it by. Stupid title, let’s see what else is on. Then I saw a coworker reading the book. There’s a book version? Yes, I’m told, it’s fun and engaging. Ok. I’ll watch the movie. Surprise, it’s fun. Stupid, yes. But funny, and yes the characters are memorable and engaging. And also kinda stupid.
Very predictable plot. But it’s a YA novel so… ok. I enjoyed the movie way more than I thought I would. Finding out it’s the Tucker and Dale guy, well that tracks. Loved that one.
I recommend it for horror buffs.

Normally, I’d agree with your dad. And I mostly still do. I’m not quite sure how this stacks up against previous crises. I have no doubt, for example, the Cuban Missile Crisis was pants-shittingly terrifying. But we don’t have firm hands on the rudders here to steer us back from the brink of madness.
We’ve discarded the Constitution. We’re disregarding rule of law. We’ll survive, in all likelihood, persevere, in some fashion. What I’m afraid of is what we lose - who we lose - in this nightmare timeline.

I won’t miss Charlie Kirk. I’m sad for the people who were there and witnessed a horrific public murder. I am exhausted and numbed to all this gun violence and I’m especially tired of the right wing bullshit about gun rights. I’m confounded and baffled by the bizarre depths of alt-right internet subculture. I’m profoundly disappointed and disillusioned by the state of the United States, but neither am I the least bit shocked. I fear for the deeper divide the next generation faces as fanatical parents drive their children to extremism as others quietly steer theirs towards acceptance, empathy, and inclusiveness.
Charlie Kirk was objectively a garbage human being. I will not mourn him. But nobody should be fucking murdered. The violence and hatred coming from the right is fucking insane and intolerable. We’re being led by sycophants, liars, sociopaths, and incompetent grifters hell bent on upending the entire structure of our ordered existence so they can rebuild it into something nightmarish and dystopian. We’re in the endgame now. The Democrats do not have a time machine.

Of course he does. Pile the sins upon the scape goat before you exile it from the village.
All he wants is for his people to do some revenge for him against those who reject him. So yeah he’ll stoke that flame.

We are already living under a vengeful president’s regime. America rejected him once, and he never stopped bitching about it. But you don’t get to reject a narcissist. So he’s taking it out on the people that did so.
All this killing does is give his sycophants a little more fuel on the bonfire of fear they’ve been stoking since 9/11. Who are they declaring war on? We don’t even know who did this. It’s always a fucking war with these whiny piss baby conservatives. It changes nothing.
Reagan declared war on America forty-five fucking years ago.

Strong The New Colossus energy:
"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
Massive love for the torties 🖤
Can’t talk about controversial TV endings without mentioning St. Elsewhere. For a long time this show had the most infamous. The big reveal that the entire run of the show took place in the mind of an autistic boy with a snow globe was not a hit with fans and remains an object lesson in how to rug-pull your fan base.
