Yep. Cigarettes smell and taste terrible, but I love the smell of pipe tobacco and cigars. I enjoy smoking a cigar a few times a year. Though, the smoke only smells good in the moment. Once it permeates clothing, it reeks just as bad as cigarette smoke the next day.
My great grandmother got married at 14 and had my grandmother at 15.
I think many comments have already nailed it.
I would add that while I hate the use of LLMs to completely generate artwork, I don’t have a problem with AI enhanced editing tools. For example, AI powered noise reduction for high ISO photography is very useful. It’s not creating the content. Just helping fix a problem. Same with AI enhanced retouching to an extent. If the tech can improve and simplify the process of removing an errant power line, dust spec, or pimple in a photograph, then it’s great. These use cases help streamline otherwise tedious bullshit work that photographers usually don’t want to do.
I also think it’s great hearing about the tech is improving scientific endeavors. Helping to spot cancers etc. As long as it is done ethically, these are great uses for it.
I want a FOSS version of the original core use of Facebook. A place to keep up with IRL friends and aquaintences. Share photos and updates with everyone you know. Organize and send out event invites. Facebook groups.
Sure you can do that the old fashion way. But the convenience of those features is the only reason I still use Facebook. I assume its what keeps most of FB userbase around.
It’s pretty normal. I took 6 years. I was having a good time.

I created [email protected] as a replacement. So far it’s just me posting.
I had no interest in this movie either way, but now I want to see if its even remotely as bad as people are claiming it is.
The only way to use Adobe products on Linux are the web apps (which are limited) or in a windows virtual machine (slow) or by dual booting into windows (annoying).
You can run really old versions of Photoshop via Wine. But if your needs are that simple, you can probably just use Photopea.
For my use case of Lightroom for accessing and editing final photos across my computer and phone, and occasional photoshop use (mostly for printing) I am able to get by with the web apps, and windows virtual machine.
I would love to drop adobe. But the Lightroom Mobile cloud storage sync feature is too invaluable to me right now and there is no other option that comes close to that feature.

Does anyone else have a mandela effect about Val Kilmer being dead already? I feel like I have read about his death mutliple times over the past decade and then had a mandela effect that I thought he had already died, but then also when I heard any story about him I also have a mandela effect that I thought he was dead.
divers? was that supposed to say “divots?” Are there actually documented cases of someones skull deforming from wearing headphones enough? I have never heard of such a thing.
Nice.
17 dang, Is that a high score?
I have a full-sized and a 96%. I don’t know how people live without a numpad. Even my laptop has a numpad. I don’t do excel shit. But at work I have to enter alot of phone and CC numbers. At home I use the numpad for rating photos when sorting and importing them.
The new Stanley cup collector craze absolutely. It’s bonkers.
That said Stanley makes high quality stuff at far more reasonable prices than Yeti. I have a Stanley coffee thermos I have used every day for almost a decade. It was like $30.
I don’t think there is anything wrong with having strong brand preferences based on reputation and personal experience. The issue is when people become fanboys.
The worst one IMHO is YETI coolers. Sure their stuff is well made but the prices are obscene, and there are loads of absolute tools who will buy everything they make and make a cooler brand their whole identity. $40 for a 5 gallon bucket? Come on.
At this point there is a pretty solid list of reasons to avoid Brave and use another FOSS privacy focused option.
Personally, everything I’ve read about Brave makes me trust them even less than Microsoft, and Google.
Thats fair. I haven’t really noticed any of those issues. For my use case of just organizing and streaming my desktop’s media library to my TV, its fantastic.
I’ve never smoked one inside, other than in a cigar shop smoking lounge. I would never do that to my house lol.
