I’m reserving judgement of course to see how things actually play out but I do want to throw a cheapest pc together for my nephew and that card would make a fine centerpiece.

This has me smiling way harder than it probably should 😆
An absolute delight. That’s the very game that got me into RPGs. Until I copped Harmony on PSP my brain focused on nothing but Halo and COD.
Unfortunately it’s never played out this way for me
Why do so many people think they MUST be heard? 😆 That’s one of the reasons I deleted Reddit. Too many weirdos thinking that I owed them a debate or something whenever I commented something they disagreed with. It happened on Twitter too but I got rid of that when musk announced that he was going through with the purchase.
Bummer that isn’t mastodon but any inconvenience to musk is appreciated
Wasn’t machines using humans as batteries a plot point in the matrix? Why are people trying so hard to make these sci-fi nightmares a thing? 😆
Cool story bro
You call it kidnapping but they’ve just done a good job at making partners and compatible software for 30+ years. That didn’t happen over night and that success wasn’t handed to them. Again, I’m not a fan of theirs and I boot into Linux whenever my day allows for it but it sounds like you’re putting your personal taste before logic.
Imma disagree since they’re part of that top 3 shuffle for most valuable companies on the planet BUT I still don’t like them lol I did try the windows phone though when those were a thing. It was solid but lacked app support so I caved before the 30 day period and returned it.
I’ve got the story all caught up. I had dropped out shortly after the new war was released and this time I decided that I wanted to actually understand the game (I usually follow guides because of how many game modes, resources and modding can be done) so I tackled all of the campaign missions back to back and then got my standing at level 4 to max with everyone and that was a DRAG. But I’m glad I did it because I’ve got tons of cool gear to mess with and I’ve been having fun swapping weapons and frames to see which abilities are fun with which gun or melee types. I don’t normally look into meta guides and prefer to just grab a weapon and see what feels fun but it took a while for me to get that way with WF because there are just so many mechanics to get overwhelmed by.
I’ve been addicted to WarFrame for months and before that it was Wayfinder but that was pre 1.0 so I’d like to go back into that one when I can peel myself away from WF
I think having a wife actually is part of it for me. I’m one of those introverted guys and burn most of that social battery at my full time job. I haven’t been able to ‘feel’ relationship ties with in-game characters for years. Ive given it thought before and landed on the fact that those feelings are reserved for my wife and close friends. That along with my taste pivoting from first to third person games just made CyberPunk a bad purchase. I don’t blame the game though, CDPR seems to have done an amazing job and it looks great now.
The initial play through was too boring for me. There’s probably still more tutorials and mechanics I haven’t got to yet but it got to be a slog with me feeling the same, too much story (that I just wasn’t feeling) and not enough action for it be fun.
Honestly I don’t know much about the war over there because I’ve been actively avoiding info about it (just got enough problems without piling on a war I have no skin in) but organizing unsanctioned political events on company grounds sounds like it’s looking for heat. That’s a publicity traded company but not a government entity so freedom of speech isn’t really a shield there.
Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll look into it 🤔
I’m super torn between not wanting more Amazon in my life and wanting a convenient way to binge a lot of comics and manga
I relate to that so hard though! I got 3 friends that I hand out with on a regular basis and 2 that keep some what in touch. I love them all like brothers (known them all for 20 years) and everyone else can kick rocks 😆
I doubt that it can be any worse than tech companies with financial incentives doing it. Surrounding yourself with like minded people will surely cause some bubbles like that but since when is letting a targeted algorithm funneling us for ad revenue a better option? I don’t personally think it’s a big deal and guessing that people are just upset that their obsession with mass engagement is getting shook.
