I just don’t believe this. This is so untrue.

If a bunch of people become stranded on an island it doesn’t become lord of the flies turns out. Human nature is to help one another because what is good for the tribe is good for you.

We know this because it has happened, there are documentaries about it, and those are circumstances where there are actually limited resources. Currently there may as well be unlimited resources because there aren’t enough resources for one person to completely consume. I think it is perfectly unnatural the way the rich in particular act, and I believe it is under our current system in particular that drives people to act that way.

  • LSD you can find without chatgpt. You need a fungus from a plant which is pretty dangerous to harvest, once you’re past that step though it’s not too hard to synthesize I’ve heard? But it’s also apparently a very light sensitive reaction so kind of finicky.

I’ve never done it but my organic chemistry professor honestly would have. We asked and he just said it was hard not no lol

  • You know how you have to buy tires every few years because they “go bald”? As in, they’ve lost that material that was once tread? That material isn’t just disappearing, it flies off the tires in the form of tiny particles that are in the air and water. It’s actually really toxic too, way more than other plastics. Fun fact EV tires are even more toxic.

Source: I work in a toxicology lab studying microplastics.

  • I mean, from this thread it shows people kinda remember stuff from those classes, but are missing a lot. Which is understandable, people left school and didn’t use that information, it doesn’t make you stupid.

But then you think, oh yeah! I remember how to make electricity, I need copper and an iron rock! So you spend all this time trying to manufacture some relatively thin copper wire, iron would probably be a little easier to find, wrap it around and then you’re like… Okay what went wrong? Annnnd you can’t remember you actually needed a magnet and you gotta spin it.

Then do you remember learning how to store it? Connect it to anything useful? Maybe kinda, but extrapolate the first situation to every topic ever and that’s what you’d get, half baked ideas that you don’t really remember the specifics of. And the specifics really actually matter lol.
