My favourite is probably the convoy t series. Kinda the spiritual successor of the fwaa line for me. You can get them pretty cheap, they have nice options and performance and are moddable. Also i really like aa/14500 lights. They are just so neat. If its about “full size” anf not “fun size” lights then probably one of hanks 21700 lights would be my pick. They are still comfortable to carry and also provide pretty nice sustainable performance and some gimmicks as well.

This is actually a pretty good one cause lemmy is pretty technical. I would say its flashlights for me and electrical engineering.

Yeah i get it. When i read finnish i understand more from swedish, english and german than i do from hungarian. And its the exact same with translating for me. I once read a some random text as an example of how far apart they are and only a few words and letters matched up in patterns that made sense as a hungarian speaker. The grammar is supposed to be similar, i know a finn who learnt hungarian and he said he learnt the grammar much faster than the non finnish speakers. As for visiting finland i always wanted to but somehow even tho i live so close the only time ive been there is when i flew from budapest to iceland through helsinki. I did hear people speak it and you can notice the similarities that way.

Apparently ä in swedish and ä in finnish are different but even with that the wikipedia article for swedish gives similar examples so now i feel a bit confused. For me they really do sound different. Also about writing how you speak, my native language, hungarian, also does that but with quite a few caveats. It uses multiple letters as one(diagraphs), groups together letters that sound different but dont change meaning when you say them differently(allophones) and also we write things how they work etymologically a lot of times. For me swedish ä sounds like a bit less “stressed” or “fat” e from hungarian.

Nah it annoys me too. Guess thats a downside to knowing swedish/nordic languages. Ever since then every ikea meme bothers me because they keep using ø which swedish doesnt even have and also just generally use the wrong one. Tho idk which language and dialect you speak cause ä is much closer to enough for me in my småland accent.

And people forget how many forms of art there are. If you can speak any language which if youre reading this you can then you can create art. Putting your feelings into words is art. The point of art is not to be good at it or to earn money with it. Its to express your feelings. Of course enabling people who express their feelings in a way that others like to earn money with it is a good thing but even that can be very restrictive. Look at all the twitter porn artists who really just want to create something else but need some sort of revenue stream.

I think you can already do that with shizuku and dome fdroid clients. It also makes using 3rd party appstores more convenient just in general.

Yeah thats why i also listed size. It really is a unique country that maybe more places should take notes from… but its hard to implement something similar because their history and location also causes this situation.

Iceland probably has the best track record. Their culture, size, location, etc just add up to make a country where workers rights, freedom of speech and equality is very good.
