Summary
Nearly half of U.S. teens report being online “constantly,” according to a Pew Research Center survey, despite ongoing concerns about social media’s impact on mental health.
YouTube remains the most popular platform, with 90% of teens using it, though TikTok and Snapchat saw slight declines in usage.
TikTok is used “almost constantly” by 16% of teens, with Black and Hispanic teens reporting higher usage than white teens.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp usage among teens rose to 23%.
And half of US adults. They just don’t have a choice for 8 hours of the day because it’s called “a job.”
Children are in school too.
And I can guarantee you no adult is skipping social media for 8 hours because of their job
Kids are online all day in school now too. They all have things like Chromebooks now.
And the other half are lying.
We live in an online world it would be weird for them not to be online. Children aren’t all Amish lol
It’s kind of like saying ‘nearly half of US teens are watching TV ‘constantly’’ in the 1980s. I mean yeah, it’s right there and there’s nothing else going on. Plus, now you can talk to your friends while watching.
Bottom half or top half?
Are not!
