One of my favorite features of enabling sudo with touch id that survives updates: https://sixcolors.com/post/2023/08/in-macos-sonoma-touch-id-for-sudo-can-survive-updates/
I’m not going to complain too much about a free update, but it does seem that Sonoma is mostly about updates to Apple’s bundled apps (which I don’t use), and doesn’t do a lot for the OS itself.
- interactive widgets
- widgets on the desktop
- option to disable mouse acceleration (finally!!)
- support for hearing aids (I’ve been waiting for this one for years)
- can now change text size per app
- other apps can access passwords, so you can finally use your Safari passwords on chrome
And these are only the OS changes that I care about. I’m sure there are more.
Has Sonoma broken anyone’s apps or workflows?
