Conservative organizers of the “Million Women” worship rally billed the event — and the November election — as “a last stand moment” to save the nation from satanic forces.

Tens of thousands of evangelical Christians gathered on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., on Saturday to pray for America’s atonement and for Donald Trump’s return to the White House.

Organizers of the event, billed “A Million Women,” described the gathering — and next month’s presidential election — as “a last stand moment” to save the nation from forces of darkness. For hours, the gathered masses sang worship songs, waved flags symbolizing their belief that America was founded as an explicitly Christian nation and prayed aloud for Jesus to intercede on behalf of Trump in November.

“If we don’t stand now,” said Grace Lin, who traveled from Los Angeles for the rally and came wearing a red “Make America Great Again” hat, “then the enemy will take over our country. If that happens, that’s the end.”

Jesus himself could float down on a crucifix to tell these numbskulls they are dead wrong, and they would abandon Jesus instead of abandoning their own bigotry.

Jesus would be hated by all of them, forgiving people, helping people who are different than you, giving up all wealth to those in need… The biblical descriptions of him are very much socialistic, not greed. For how long did Christianity not allow interest on loans… making it so Jewish people were the ones who had to open the banks.

Jesus didn’t change his mind, money mattered more to people, so they just changed it and said it was fine.

So why would you have to go to a particular place to pray to a god? Can that god “hear” you better in certain places? I wish people would examine their beliefs to see if they make any sense. What’s with them holding their hands up? Are they like antennas?

I think they have to do it there because Matthew 6:5 says to:

And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.

      Hey, wait a minute…

Before I looked this place up (I didn’t really know this famous complex is called that), it made perfect sense these weirdos in MAGA merch went to pray in a shopping mall of all places. Eating a fruit of knowledge made me a little less agitated about it.

I will not allow a woman to teach or hold authority over a man. She is to remain silent. ~ Timothy 2:12ish

      With a Matthew 6:5 combo:

And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.

Exactly. These “Christians” are hypocrites. I’ll probably be down voted I don’t care. I haven’t hid my faith, I’m a Christian, yet progressive and these people are hiding their own desires behind a religion. It happens with all religions for sure, we just see it with Christianity predominantly here in the US. This verse is saying their reward is that others see them praying and that’s it. God isn’t rewarding them. The next verse teaches us we should pray in private and God rewards those people.

Also we just talked about Timothy 2 and our pastor made a good point the word for quiet was used in a previous verse Tim 2:2 that meant peaceful, quiet/calm life’s. Timothy calls out men and women. It doesn’t mean muzzled. Women of the time were dressing in such a way to bring attention to them at church instead of the teachings.

Religions are delusions, and basing your political views on religion, means your political views are based on delusions.
But as a Christian to support Trump is crazy. There is no doubt that Jesus would oppose Trump strongly, for his inhumane denial to help the poor and the sick. For instance being against raising minimum wage, and against healthcare for all.

They absolutely don’t follow the teachings of Bible Jesus. None of them believe in true charity and tolerance which was all I learned from being raised on the stuff.

And don’t forget the grand irony of Zionism. The people currently being genocided out of Palestine actually have a much closer genetic relationship to the actual Biblical Hebrews that the people genociding them. The people who formed modern Zionism were mostly the descendants of people who converted to Judaism during its more evangelical phases. The historical events like Rome conquering Judea didn’t actually expel the vast majority of the population, mainly just some of its leaders and intellectuals. Most of the historical Hebrews remained in Palestine, and they mostly converted to Islam over the centuries. Zionism can largely be approximated as the destruction and displacement of the actual descendants of historical Israel by people who later converted to Judaism. The Palestinians have a much, much closer genetic relationship to the people that Jesus would have been interacting with regularly than the average IDF soldier does today.
