Well those Port Authorities better fucking pay up then I guess.
A big thing labor is asking for is a ban in automation in the port which is a totally absurd demand. Trying to hold back progress is always a losing position.
While I agree that automation seems inevitable, I know that it will be used to create downward pressure on the number of employees and their wage.
If you’re competing against a machine, eventually you lose. Engineers find the solutions and fix them.
Sounds like the solution is everyone just needs to be engineers.
