    “We have to purge the Party of people that go against our Candidates, and make it harder for a popular Republican President to beat the Radical Left Lunatics. Geoff Duncan is a loser who is disintegrating on his own.” Trump posted on Truth Social on Saturday, referring to the former lieutenant governor of Georgia who has endorsed Harris.

    What exactly does he mean by “purge?”

    In May 2024…Duncan expressed his support in the 2024 U.S. presidential election for Democratic incumbent President Joe Biden, while strongly criticizing the GOP presumptive nominee, former Republican President Donald Trump. Duncan described Biden as a “decent person I disagree with on policy”, which he contrasted with Trump, who he characterized as “a criminal defendant without a moral compass”. After Biden stepped aside, Duncan endorsed Kamala Harris.

      By “purge” he means he wants one of his cultists to do some right-wing radical terrorism. But only if he is unable to be prosecuted for conspiracy to commit murder.

      It’s great to finally see this happen but we should all be wary of “good” political news. The headline only says “dozens” of republicans after all. A trolling brigade tactic is to get people thinking “Harris is going to win by such a landslide I don’t even have to vote”

        It is a smart strategy to assume everything any Repub says is a lie or some sort of trick. If they had honestly and integrity they wouldn’t be Repubs.

      I think it’s the camel’s back that breaks. Loading straw on top, straw by straw, it’s that one that’s the tipping point of what it can carry.

      I’m wondering the same. They did something similar 8 years ago, didn’t they? George Conway? Or was that 2020? At what point do they just start another conservative party and jettison this one.

      If I had to guess, considering what Republicans are like, I would say spite. I believe that in their own minds, they’re not voting for Harris; they’re voting against Trump. While there are plenty of Democrats and Independents who will also vote against Trump by voting for Harris, like myself, the reasons for doing so are dramatically different when it’s hard R Republicans doing it.
