I’m pretty sure I’m on a list and I know I would not enjoy being permanently detained in China.
Or if China suddenly needs leverage to try to get one of their citizens freed, even if you’re not on a list. Or maybe, they might have actually been spies for all I know, though if they were it doesn’t say great things that China was just willing to let them do their thing until they needed them for political reasons.
I still remember being paid $2k to just have conversations with a guy in china for 3 weeks because he wanted to pass his conversational part of the TOEFL. He failed 😀
Just go to the Philippines. If you’re an old white guy, you can have your pick of beautiful young Filipinas. It’s all strange and new to me, but I gather having a white husband is a big deal, maybe even a status symbol. 🤷🏻♂️
Thought it was just my wife, but all her friends except one are married to much older white guys. She put me onto some videos yesterday to help me understand her culture. Yeah, those girls love us white American boys.
