No good comes from conflict with China. Both east and west should cooperate for mutual benefit.
That would be the sensible thing to do, but the leadership in the west is anything but unfortunately.

There are different cliques of capitalists in the US. Some of them benefit from globalization and leveraging cheap manufacturing in China, others see China as a threat to their business model. Products like solar panels and EVs threaten the oil industry, Chinese platforms and phones threaten companies like Meta and Google.
I don’t think that Trump gives a fuck about billionaires right now. He’s more interested in spreading his ideology rn since it’s his last anything.
